Exit hardware
Exits that open easily and latch reliably
Panic hardware lets people leave a building quickly by pushing a bar or pad instead of turning a handle. Doors serving assembly spaces, schools and certain other occupancies often require it, and fire-rated doors need fire exit hardware.
Common problems include bars that need a hard push, latches that don’t catch, closers that slam or don’t close the door, and extra locks added to exit doors. We fix the hardware and adjust the door so it opens easily and latches reliably.

Code requirements
Whether a door needs panic hardware depends on your building’s occupancy and occupant load, and your local fire marshal has the final say. Our exit hardware guide covers the basics.

Does my business need panic bars?
It depends on how the space is used and how many people it’s designed to hold. Restaurants, event spaces, churches and schools are common examples. Check with your local fire marshal to confirm.
Can you fix a panic bar that sticks?
Yes. Sticking is often caused by worn parts, misalignment or a door that has sagged. We repair or adjust the device, and replace it if needed.
Can I add a deadbolt to an exit door with a panic bar?
Generally no. Extra locks that stop the door from opening with a single push can trap people inside and are a common code violation. Ask us about code-compliant options such as alarmed exit devices.
Do you service door closers?
Yes. We install and adjust closers so doors close fully and latch without slamming.
