New locks

When it’s time for a new lock

Locks wear out, especially in Southwest Florida’s heat, humidity and salt air. Signs it’s time to replace one include a key that sticks or only works at an angle, a loose cylinder, a bolt that doesn’t fully extend, or visible rust and corrosion.

We install new deadbolts, knob locks and handle sets, and we check the door and strike alignment so the bolt throws fully every time. After a break-in, we can replace damaged locks and reinforce the strike.

What we handle

  • Single and double-cylinder deadbolts
  • Knob locks and lever handle sets
  • Reinforced strike plates
  • Lock changes after a break-in
  • Sliding door and patio locks
  • New locks keyed to match your others

A tip for Florida homes

Use a lubricant made for lock cylinders, such as dry graphite or PTFE spray, a couple of times a year. Household oils attract dust and sand and can gum up a lock.

FAQ

Lock replacement questions

Have another question? Call or text (239) 412-2998.

Should I replace or rekey my locks?

If your locks work well, rekeying is usually the better value. Replace them if they’re damaged, worn or low security, or if you want a different style or a smart lock.

Can you match my existing keys?

Often, yes. If the new lock uses a compatible keyway, we can key it to match your current keys.

What should I do after a break-in?

Call the police first. Once they’ve documented the scene, we can replace damaged locks and strikes and rekey any locks whose keys may have been taken.

Do you replace commercial locks too?

Yes. We install commercial-grade locks, storefront deadlatches and door closers. See commercial locksmith services.
