Master keying
One key for managers, the right key for everyone else
A master key system organizes locks into levels. An owner or facility manager carries a grand master key that opens everything, department managers carry keys for their areas, and staff or tenants carry keys that only open their own doors.
We walk the property with you, map out who needs access to which doors, and key each lock to fit the plan. As your team or tenants change, we can rekey individual locks without redoing the whole system.

How does a master key system work?
Locks are keyed so different keys open different groups of doors. The grand master opens all of them, masters open a section, and individual keys open a single door or suite.
Can you use my existing locks?
Often, yes. Many existing cylinders can be rekeyed into a master key system. Locks that are worn, damaged or incompatible may need replacement.
What happens if a master key is lost?
The locks that key opens should be rekeyed so it no longer works. We can do that and issue new keys.
Do you work with HOAs and property managers?
Yes. We design systems for apartment communities, HOAs and plazas where managers need access to every unit and tenants only need their own. See property management services.
